Welcome to our online consultation hub for the former Homebase site on Davidson Way
Barratt London is excited to bring forward proposals to redevelop the former Homebase site and we want to hear what local people think.
Our plans aim to transform this brownfield site into a vibrant community with new homes, green open space and routes.
Using this website, you can learn about our upcoming consultation events and view the consultation materials from our first round of consultation that took place last September.
Get involved
Last September we held an initial consultation on the early plans and over 220 local people came to meet our team and share their feedback.
We are now sharing updated plans before an application is submitted to Havering Council. We hope you can come along to our in-person event or join our webinar. The events are open to all.

What is proposed?
- 580 much needed new homes, with a mix of property sizes and on-site affordable housing.
- Homes designed to Passivhaus standards, with greater insulation and glazing to reduce energy use and running costs.
- Opening up the River Rom, alongside a new riverside park.
- Publicly accessible play areas and urban greening with 120 new trees.
- A town centre, car-free scheme focused on promoting sustainable travel.
- Up to 500 jobs across construction and once completed.
